Tonight I have seen the assault force move out from Spithead from the bridge of H.M.S. "Southern Prince" in order to break open the defences of the northern coast of France.  Nothing as great, nothing as world changing and gigantic has been undertaken in these waters since 1066.  This night we invade the continent of Europe from the west, the awaited hour has poured itself through the hour-glass, and tomorrow we strike."
